The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics shows a fall in manufacturing and industrial output for May.
- Manufacturing output in May 2015 was down -0.6% on the month and up 1.0% on the year
- Total industrial production in May 2015 was up 0.4% on the month and up 2.1% on the year
The British Chambers of Commerce says the news is unsurprising given our own recent surveys, plus the global uncertainty and the weakness of the euro against the pound.
