IS0 9001 for Chamber

West & North Yorkshire Chamber, with offices in Bradford, Leeds and York, has achieved the ISO 9001 quality management standard. ISO 9001 certification means the not-for-profit organisation is committed to delivering high standards and has systems in place to ensure they provide quality products and services to all their customers.

The process to achieve certification included looking at whole organisation and documenting processes, some of which were already in place, others which were new. The audit by BSI took four days across the different locations and included a review of documentation and interviews with staff and senior managers.

Chief executive, Sandy Needham said: “After months of hard work from the team I’m delighted to say we are now an ISO 9001 certified business. We are always looking at ways to do things better and continuously improve. This internationally recognised standard will keep us striving ahead and help ensure quality products and services are delivered to our customers.”

Toni Jones, UK Head of Client Propositions at BSI commented: “By gaining certification to ISO 9001, West & North Yorkshire Chamber has demonstrated its commitment to focusing on customers and driving continual improvement to their internal processes. They should feel very proud of this achievement.”
