Health mutual gets awards recognition

York-based health and well-being mutual Benenden has been shortlisted as a finalist for two categories in the prestigious 2016 Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts Awards.

For the first time, Benenden has appeared in the shortlist for Best Healthcare Service category.

Following on from being awarded ‘highly commended’ last year, Benenden are once again finalists for the health insurance cover award.

Moneyfacts is an independent body and the UK’s leading provider of personal finance data, which helps provide the statistics behind many key reports and comparison sites in the finance sector. The awards are nominated and voted on by financial advisers across the UK – with nominees also subject to analysis by Moneyfacts’ own team of researchers.

Marc Bell, Chief Executive Officer at Benenden, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for Benenden to appear as finalists in these leading industry awards – and to be shortlisted in two categories this year is something we are especially proud of. The whole team works hard to ensure our product offering and service delivery is at the highest level and that we provide excellent standards of customer service for our members. Being shortlisted in these awards is a testament to this hard work and to the great strides we are making in increasing our brand exposure across the UK.

“Thank you to all the financial advisers who have nominated Benenden as a leading health provider in both of these categories. As an organisation run for its members, with no shareholders to satisfy, we believe we offer a real alternative within the healthcare market which stands out from what our competitors are offering and it’s fantastic to see Benenden recognised in this way.”

The full shortlist for all categories can be found here. The winners will be announced at an awards evening on 22nd September 2016.
