Flexibility to meet finance demands

Business Enterprise Fund (BEF) are an alternative and responsible finance provider for businesses in Yorkshire and the North East.

In the ever-changing world of business finance, BEF have had to be flexible to fulfil their clients’ needs.

As a Delivery Partner for the Government’s Start Up Loans programme, BEF help businesses under 2 years old with loans from £500 to £25,000 at the fixed rate of 6%. BEF also offer larger unsecured (up to £50,000) and secured (up to £150,000) business loans to more established businesses.

When BEF began 12 years ago, alternative finance was seen as an expensive, complicated solution for struggling businesses that were unable to access their funding from a bank.

Since the financial crisis in 2008, the business finance landscape has changed enormously, with many new entrants and products becoming available as banks concentrate on higher quality secured lending.

BEF has grown rapidly in this post-recession period. By re-investing profits and by accessing funds from private sources, BEF has been able to diversify its product range to meet the needs that business owners have.

BEF still operate in a traditional way. They have a team of loan investment managers ready to talk by phone and face-to-face with potential borrowers across Yorkshire and the North East. They are happy to visit businesses at the business premises, and all loan decisions are made in-house (and not by a computer).

If you would like to talk about funding for your business just give BEF a call on 0800 080 3145 – there’s no obligation.
