A KEY contract to provide export training to Suffolk Chamber of Commerce has been won by Yorkshire-based international trade specialist, Chamber International.
Under the contract, Chamber International, a specialist export division of West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce with a base at York and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce at York Science Park, will deliver the British Chamber of Commerce accredited International Trade Training programme to experienced and novice exporting companies throughout Suffolk.
The programme, which will be joint branded between Chamber International and Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, will initially comprise six annual workshops on issues such as trade procedures, finance for international trade and overseas trade contract terms.
The new contract comes hot on the heels of Chamber International winning a similar contract from the Northern Ireland regional development agency, Invest NI, part of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment responsible for growing the Northern Ireland economy, to provide comprehensive export training to local businesses.
Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, which is based in Ipswich, was founded in 1884 and has 1,400 member businesses.

We hope this is the start of a long-term close working relationship to help enhance exporting from Suffolk.”
