BBC journalist at York & North Yorkshire Dinner

York & North Yorkshire Chamber is inviting the region’s businesses to its Annual Dinner next month.

The event, which takes place on Thursday 10th March at the National Railway Museum, is one of York & North Yorkshire’s most prestigious events attracting over 500 of the region’s business people. York & North Yorkshire Chamber is part of the West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber’s popular black-tie event is a chance for local businesses to entertain guests and network with the area’s business leaders. This year award-winning BBC Breakfast business reporter, Steph McGovern is the Chamber’s guest speaker.

Steph McGovern has been working in financial journalism for over 10 years and has been part of the BBC Breakfast family for the last two.

York & North Yorkshire Chamber President, Ed Everard said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Steph to the Annual Dinner this year.  She has travelled all over the UK interviewing business owners, large and small, so it will be interesting to hear her views on the real economy.”

At the dinner, Ed will also update the audience on Chamber achievements over the last 12 months. The dinner will raise funds for St Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough and St Leonard’s Hospice in York through a prize draw.

The dinner is supported by principal sponsor, HSBC Commercial Banking and additional sponsors are Shepherd Group, Saville Audio Visual and Business Enterprise Fund.

Tickets are available for individual places or tables of 10 and include a drinks reception and three course meal. Anyone interested should contact the Chamber’s events team on 01904 567838 or email alicia.oakes@yorkchamber.co.uk
