Importing and exporting: The challenges and opportunities in a time of change

An event on the challenges of importing and exporting for manufacturers is to be hosted by the Bradford and Airedale Manufacturing Alliance and the Calderdale and Kirklees Manufacturing Alliance later this month.

This manufacturer only event on Wednesday 30th January is a great opportunity to network with manufacturers from the region and to hear about the challenges and opportunities when importing and exporting.

The event will begin with a light breakfast and will feature a variety of speakers who will update on a range of topics:

Paul Walters from FSB Y&H will discuss importing from international markets and the pros and cons of doing so.

Doug Jackson from DNA Business Engineering will discuss exporting, including market selection, shipping and associated finances.

Jamie Holmes from CurrencyWave will speak on improving your profit margins and optimising your international currency payments.

The event will also feature updates from the Department of International Trade and the Enterprise Europe Network, as well as information on the new Supply Chain funding programme from Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership.
