More than training
The Skills Service can offer more than one-off, existing training courses. As a collaborative organisation, the consortium behind the service connects intelligence, demand and opportunity. When you enquire with The Skills Service you will be offered the chance to have influence the skills agenda.
The West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC) is the lead organisation for a number of skills contracts funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) (part of the European Structural Investment Fund). These contracts aim to achieve the objectives of the Leeds City Region Employment and Skills Plan (2016-2020) and increase growth prosperity among businesses.
The current ESF contracts are targeted at employed individuals. These include
Reach Higher: widening participation in higher level skills
More Skills, Better Jobs: skills support for in-work claimants
The Skills Service: a unique package of training and support for employers in the Leeds City Region
Progression From Low Pay: supporting individuals in low-skilled employment
Developing the offer – commissions for training providers
As the consortium works with more businesses, it will commission training that meets the needs of the employers in the Leeds City Region more closely. The latest opportunities to tender will always be available on the In-Tend website, and, as a training provider you must register to receive the latest notifications and see full details of the opportunities. The Skills Catalogue will be updated as new provision is commissioned.
