Today (Mon 4 Dec) sees the launch of a themed week for the Northern Powerhouse campaign. The campaign will focus specifically on the cultural impact of the region.
The campaign will showcase a variety of cultural activities, institutions and opportunities available to people in the North. Content will celebrate the breadth of cultural opportunities across the Northern Powerhouse, and the role culture plays in attracting people to live, work, invest and visit the region.
The bulk of activity will live on a brand new Northern Powerhouse Facebook page and there will be a strong focus on video content.
The week will celebrate the impact of different cultural sectors:
- Monday – Sports
- Tuesday – The Arts
- Wednesday – Exhibiting
- Thursday – Media
- Friday – Music
Several partners are helping to promote the cause, including the Rugby Football League, the Great North Run, Hull City of Culture, Manchester International Festival, Great Exhibition of the North, MediaCityUK, Culture Liverpool and digifish.
Contributors are invited to share content on their own channels, and also download logos or other asset imagery (available here).
