Forster Square plans get public thumbs-up

A public consultation on the future of Forster Square station has resulted in an 85% approval rate for the new look. The current building will be replaced, as will the lift and staircase as part of a £17 million redevelopment scheme. The short public consultation in December resulted in 340 online and 400 paper responses. A process to procure services

Tender out on NPR study

Companies are being invited to bid to carry out a study on the additional demand that a Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) station in Bradford would generate. West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) is inviting potential suppliers to bid for the £40-50,000 contract.  Bids need to be submitted by 15 December. Chamber welcomes TfN powers and legal footing

West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce has responded to a government announcement that Transport for the North is set to get legal powers and responsibilities. Northern rail investment welcomed

At the Conservative Party conference, the Chancellor has announced £300m for rail improvements in the North of England.
